EDUCATION ASSOCIATION OF PASSAIC ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES

       

Education Association of Passaic - Association Representatives

Association Reps

    The Executive Committee along with the Association Reps form the Representative Council, the policy governing body of the organization.  The Representative Council approves the budget, acts on committee reports, and establishes the policies of the Association.  The Representative Council meets 5 times a year at the First United Methodist Church on Paulison Avenue.  Meetings are usually  at 6:30 pm. on the last Wednesday of the month during September, November, January, March and May.  All members are welcome to attend.

    Association Reps are elected at the building level at a ratio of 1 rep:12 members.  The job of an A/R includes enrolling new members, assisting in the processing of grievances, calling meeting of the building membership to discuss Association business, maintaining communications with those members they represent, assisting with Association elections, and serving on at least one Association committee.
